Australian Open

Finally the Australian Open was over. It was a pity that I didn't go there to see a match, of course when the ticket was cheap (for the final, the ticket would be 180AU$). But with my small television, I enjoyed a lot too. Everyday I can have diner when watching the Australian open on channel 7. Sorry for Sharapova and Gonzales who lost the champion as I supported them a lot.

Vs

Vs
It was a wonderful match and all are of the same level. So I'd say both of them are champions.
By the way, in this open, chinese players were on the rise, either from China or from Chinese Taipei. Maybe in the france open or US open etc, we can see more asian players. Good luck!

Australia Day 2007

This is really a cool day, thousands of australians, new immigrants or even foreigners gather together and enjoy the great day. Aussie flag is the most popular thing everywhere and you would feel peaceful and joyful. What an harmony!
On the King William Street, Adelaide Festival Center, some people wear traditional Chinese costume which is seen in chinese films and dramas.
Some nice cars in the exhibition
Aussie Canon
Madame Koala

I'm in front of the stage
Filipino girl sings the australian anthem "I am, you are, we are australian", very promising future singer, I bet.
Aboriginal cool guy
Ad on the street, a guy just carry a ad board (some logistic bizness I reckon)
And some video clips I took:
1) Daytime fireworks
2) Concert
3) Italian tarantella, these young men want to go back and dance in Italia, so they looked for sponsors.

Back to the residence

After 3 months in a townhouse, I decided to come back to the residence as I found it easier to live and more convinient to move. One thing strange is that every time I move out, it would be raining, I'm wondering why. This time I'm on the 6th floor, where I can see the view of the Adelaide hills:

Schützenfest Adelaide, Largest in the southern hemisphere

Yesterday I went to the Schützenfest (german, means Shooting festival, of course also SHOUTING festival too lol). But the main theme here is not shooting anyway but drinking, eating and dancing! I drank 3 steins of beer (cooppers, DAB and Erdinger) and one stein of alcohol with blue color and of course one coke as I felt a bit pissed off. Erik said he drank 7 steins. Oop. When the night came, I felt like dancing and the music was awlsome, the Jägermeister band, the Jam and triplescore were nice!

Here are some witness of our being there:

I'm at the place of festival with German flag behinde

At last the woman on the right won, and she was so surprised lol

What I liked is the concert by several local bands, not very famous, but really awlsome and cool
Especially I like the song 1,2,3! (Don't know exactly the name of the song, but seemed everyone can sing it. If you know the title, please tell me, thx)

The making of Sushi

I went back early today and I decided to do some Sushi as the instructions on the sea-weed package. 2 hours later, a plate of Sushi was ready, now the pic shows half of the sushi I made coz I asked my housemates to taste it. Really tasty, I thought I bought them instead of making them myself! Wow, my level is professional lol Papa, M'mha, get ready to eat my sushi?

All DIY made Sushi

Leaving of Jay (Lee Ho Jung)

Sunday is Jay's last day in Australia, and we had diner together in the city. People are always late as usual. So Jay said: "I was popular". LOL So we went to the Nando's, which is liked because of the hot sauce and people are nice too.

New Year's Eve in Adelaide City

New Year's Eve, and a sleepless night! We did a lot of things in one night: Casino in the skycity where where were a lot of shows, acrobats and of course see people gambling; At mid-night, we together on the King William Street, Victoria Square, waiting for the new year's coming and then the magnificent fireworks; then the clubbing time, we went to one club called BASEMENT where I found a lot of indigenious people dancing. Raj became the target of a fat women lol; next, the Glenelg beach, it wasn't at all cold there and we had a gr8 time there too; last thing, going back and sleep the whole day in bed as I have to work the next day. Finally we are in 2007, wish everybody a happy and successful new year! ---Dan
