Melbourne City

The night bus arrived at Melbourne Southern Cross Bus Station at 6 a.m., so early that I don't know where to go. But the experience in the night bus is quite unforgettable, we didn't have many people in the bus and the driver was very nice.

I walked from the bus station to the hostel. Melbourne is not so big as I expected. On the way, I took this picture before sunrise.

A beautiful church

One of Melbourne's oldest building--Flinder street station

Melbourne State Library: Near the university and she has nice gallaries and above all, it's free.

Chinese museum in Melbourne, which tells stories about the early immigrants from Canton province. At that time, the white occupied Australia and they didn't want to change the white australia. But because of the war and famine in China and the gold rush, still people were rushing to australia and then they must pay a lot of tax to find the gold. Actually the aussie slang "fair deakum" is from Cantonese, in which Deakum mean "real gold".

Also Cook's cottage is nice. Somebody succeeded to move this cottage from where it was to the park in Melbourne. It is just a simple cottage with two floors. And it keeps the garden. Captain Cook is legendary and he never let any of his men die in the journey to Australia becoz he knew how to keep food fresh.

Melbourne Aquarium is also nice, Here is the jelly fish and i like the cute fish on the right

And in victoria art center, there is a tower like La tour Eiffel

The city river is called YARRA River, maybe an aboriginal name again. Take a cruise in the river , you will really feel the beauty of the city.

They have a memorial place

One place to go in Melbourne is the Rialto Building where there is an observation deck. The whole city is in your eyes:
